The signal we are going to replace the turn signal switch is both mechanical and electrical. So as far as electrical your standard precaution applies to so remove any jewelry, any watches and any metallic items. You don't want any loose or dangly that can cause a electrical short or injure you. It is also recommend that you disconnect your battery.
