Hi this is Howard Fleischmann with Community Tire in Phoenix, Arizona. In this segment we will remove the purge tank and disconnect the fuel and the vent hoses from the gas tank. Here you see the technician unbolting the purge canister, where gas vapors are held and removing it. This of course, is part of the emissions system. He then will move to the tank to loosen and remove the vent hose and the filler hose from the tank. This is where the old anthem about using the right tools for the right job comes into play, because as you can see there isn't a lot of room to work and it can be tricky loosening the hose clamps. Once he has the clamps loose he'll use lubricant to loosen the hose so they won't tear when he pulls them out. You may have to wrestle them a bit but be patient, and you won't have any problem. In our next clip we will actually drop the tank.
