"Hi this is Howard Fleischmann with Community Tire here in Phoenix, Arizona. In this clip we'll be preparing the vehicle to empty the fuel tank and getting the tank ready to drop. We'll be changing the pump on this Yukon, and even though it's drivable tests show that the fuel pressure is low creating drive-ability problems for the owner. What our technician is doing here is using a test light to locate the connections to the fuel pump so we can activate the pump to drain the tank. Once he locates the connections he carefully clips the lead wires to them so when the vehicle is in the air he can activate the pump. Here you see the wires hanging down ready to use once the vehicle is in the air. Now we set the rack to raise the vehicle, notice he has to use extensions on the SUV. This job can be done without a lift, but you must have the right equipment, including sturdy well-made jack stands. So if you're doing it yourself this has to be done very carefully. In our next clip, we'll get the car in the air, drain the tank, and get it ready to come out."
