"Hi this is Howard Fleischmann with Community Tire in Phoenix, Arizona on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip we'll talk about the different types of fuel injection. This is a fuel injection off of a mid-60's Corvette. We move in to the throttle body system, which looks like a carburetor, but notice the fuel injectors under the fuel rails. This is a tune port injection; notice there are eight runners on each side for the intake and exhaust under the plumb. Here you see two injectors in the manifold and electronic connectors plugged in. This is an air inlet temperature sensor that sends a signal to the ECU, Engine Control Unit, to monitor air density and adjust fuel flow. What you see here is a map sensor, measures manifold vacuum. This sensor converts the vacuum into an electronic signal which is fed to the ECU by a harness connection. This is a fuel air spark control system. These are two types of in-tank fuel pumps; they get the fuel from the gas tank to the engine. Let's quick overview in our next segment we'll show you a classic car we're working on, and a couple of modern fuel injection systems."
