"DOUG JENKINS: Hi. I'm Doug. I work with 20 great guys in St. Louis at Doug Jenkins Custom Hot Rods, and we're going to do some work for you today on Expert Village. The next bit that Dan's got going here, he needs to remove the throttle cable and the transmission downshift cable. They're kind of one assembly on this car and so a couple of bolts holding that bracket to the intake manifold, and he has unsnapped the cable from the end here. This is the transmission downshift cable, and then at the bottom is an aftermarket throttle cable that we've added to the car to make the installation go more easily. So we're just going to disconnect those and lay them aside. You can use the stock-throttle cable assembly when you do this fuel-injection upgrade, but it's just a lot more work. We found the aftermarket cable is a lot simpler to install. We get them from Lokar, but I suppose there's other manufacturers. A lots of the little nuts and bolts and stuff he's putting right back where they came off so they--everything goes back together correctly when we're done with the job."
