" Hi! This is Jon from Expertvillage.com and we will continue with step 6 of our procedure for replacing brake pads, which is to locate and remove the caliper bolts. On this particular car, the caliper bolts are located on the back of the caliper, kind of underneath the car. They use an Allen-head socket to remove them. Typically, most brake calipers will use a star-head, Allen-head, or traditional 6-point socket to remove the caliper bolts. I like to spray a little penetrating oil on the caliper bolts, just to ensure that they are not going to break off when I remove them. Next, I’ll remove the caliper bolts. Again, this is using an Allen-head socket. If this is too difficult, you may want to get a breaker bar to help you."
