" Hi! This is Jon, on behalf of Expertvillage.com. We are now going to do step 3 in our procedure for replacing brake pads. If you are using a car jack you want to be sure you locate the lift points on the car and make sure you support it with the safety stand once it’s lifted up. For this demonstration, I’ll be using an in-floor hydraulic floor jack, but in the same manner you want to make sure that your jack is positioned on the lift points of your vehicle. The next thing you’ll need to do is pressurize the system and raise the car up slightly. When the lift points have met you need to check each one to make sure that the car is secure and continue lifting until each tire is a couple of inches off the ground. Last, you need to go around and shake the car to make sure that it is secure."
