"Hi! This is John on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip, I will be talking about how to fix a brake fluid leak. Unfortunately there are no quick fixes for brake fluid leaks, and it is not recommended to use a stop leak formula. If your master cylinder is leaking, they do sell rebuilt kits. Basically you pull the old one off and put the new one on. If your brake hoses are leaking, you can go to your auto parts dealer and buy new hoses and just switch out the old ones with the new ones. If your metal brake lines are leaking, you will probably need to purchase some metal tubing and a pipe bender to fix these. These are a little more difficult to fix. Lastly if your caliper piston is leaking you can buy rebuilt kits for these as well although sometimes it is just easier to buy a whole new caliper."

on 8/2/2008 Jon explanations on brake repairs are very dangerous...nowhere in the expnanation of replacing leaking brake fliud line ,leaking rotors, leaking brake fluid assembly does he tell the audience that after these repairs you must bleed the brakes. A novice doing his first repair may not know this. Failure to bleed the brakes after a repair opening the brake system could have deadly results
