"Hi! This is John on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip, I will be answering the question “how does the braking system work?” The braking system has a few basic principles but as a whole, it is very complex. The first part is stepping on the brake pedal inside the car. As I step on the pedal, it pushes a plunger in the master cylinder. This will force brake fluid through a series of tubes and different hoses into the braking unit at each wheel. Once the pressure from the brake fluid reaches this braking unit, it will activate the mechanisms and apply friction thus slowing down or stopping the car."
