"Hi this is Jeff Wong with Expert Village and today we're going to learn the basics of maintaining your vehicle. The next fluid we're going to check is your power steering fluid and this enables you to have power steering in your vehicle. So in your engine bay look for a reservoir such as this with a similar red cap. If you read the lettering on it you should be able to see power steering fluid. So power steering fluid comes in a container that looks like a container for motor oil instead it says power steering fluid. So you can look inside to check the color of your power steering fluid and if you can't see it you take a rolled up piece of paper towel and slide it in and get a little bit of the fluid and check the color. Now it should be clear and if your power steering fluid is a dark brown or black you should have it changed. As you can see this fluid is a pretty dark brown color, it should probably be changed soon. You can look on the side of the reservoir and it'll have a marking for upper and lower level. So simply poor some fluid in until the fluid level is between these two markings."
