"Hello, my name is Dr. Susan Jewell on behalf of Expert Village; I'm going to talk to you about signs of skin cancer. Now, in this clip, we're going to look at preventions, ways to preventing from decreasing your risk of getting skin cancer. Now, there are many ways that you can prevent yourself from developing skin cancer. One of it of course is by decreasing your exposure to ultra-violet light. Now, in the next clip, I'm going to tell you in more detail about certain ways that you can to do that, to decrease your exposure to ultra-violet light. Protection from ultra-violet reflection, like from the sea, from the wind, from the sand those are certain ways that you can decrease your exposure to ultra-violet radiation. Stay away from sunlamps and tanning salons cause those are have direct exposure to ultra-violet radiation. Wear certain clothes like, wear long sleeve tops and hats with wide brims and pants that go up to cover up your ankle, that would decrease your skin exposure to the sun rays. Of course sun screen which we'll talk about in detail much more later and sun glasses to protect your eyes from ultra-violet radiation. These are certain ways that you can prevent from decreasing your exposure, to ultra-violet radiation and thus decreasing your chance of getting skin cancer."
