Choose pieces that are timeless and not too trendy. Do your research and make sure that the item can have more than one purpose.

Step2

Go for it! Take a risk and buy something that really speaks about who your child is and who they are going to be as they grow older.

Step3

Give your son or daughter to make choices as well. Steer them in the right direction but make them feel like they are the ones driving the boat.

on 6/21/2008 My daughter just redid her daughter's room. She had to paint over a four foot Peter Rabbit I had painted on the wall because she had already outgrown it. We should have read this article before choosing that theme!
