"Hi, my name is Charlie Laborda. I'm here with Expert Village. We're here to show you how to hunt with bird dogs. There's another equipment that we use for the dogs, a whistle, the sound will travel a long, long way. Then we have to dog trained in certain blows of the whistle. One blow means to go left or right. Two means to come back, or to roll sometimes just depending on the trainer. A bunch of times means to head back to the owner or sometimes to stay where they are. So the whistle really works, you don't have to yell off and on all the time in the field, so the whistle really helps in a long distant area because the dog can't hear that far with the voice, so a whistle is good to have for safety if you are stuck in an area or hurt you can just blow the whistle and people can hear it a long way."
