"Hi. My name is Charlie Labarda and I am here with Expert Village. We're here to show you how to hunt with bird dogs. Now we are going to talk about safety for the dog. Rule of thumb for the dog - the dog sometimes will break point and chase birds. You got to make sure the dog is not too close to the bird that you could shoot because a professional dog is very expensive and very hard to come by. I have a vest. This goes to the dogs vest. If your dogs color is dark in the area you are in, the vests are easy to spot in long distance. The hat is good to have. Glasses, ear plugs - those are a must when shooting shotgun around a field with a dog. So, this way you can see your friends to your right, to your left or wherever they are. Orange really sees very visible and a very long distance, so those are good safety items to have."
