Introduction

The push pass is the most used pass when playing soccer. Once you have got the technique right, then this simple exercise will help your child kick with both feet and with good accuracy.

Tips & Warnings:

  • make sure you roll the ball to the left and right side of the player
  • make sure that the player moves to meet the ball, and then moves back into the starting position
  • Don't let the player kick the ball with any part of the foot other than the inside of the foot
Step1
The "server" is between the 2 markers, on their knees with the soccer ball.
Step2
The player is standing about 10 yards away, ready to receive the ball
Step3
The server "serves" (or rolls) the ball to the player at a pace that the player can adjust to the direction of the ball.
Step4
The player moves to meet the ball and passes the ball back to the server
