Step 1
Frying pan with Tlbs. of OilYou want to start with a skillet or large frying pan. Set the flame to medium. If you are the type of person that likes eating deep fried everything, I suggest a little oil. It will give the tortilla a little crispy texture.
-
Step 2
Jack Cheese gratedThe BIG CHEESE. It will be easier if you grate the cheese or you can slice it thin. I like using Monterey Jack. It melts well and it has great taste. I also use Cheddar or Pepper Jack. I sometimes mix the Cheddar and the Jack cheeses. YUM!
-
Step 3
Medium size flour tortillaTortillas anyone. (Pronounced: tor-tee-ya) There are a variety of tortillas. Some made from white flour, wheat or maize (corn). I prefer to use flour, about a 6 inch diameter. You will need two. But you can use larger burrito size to the small corn tortillas.
-
Step 4
Tortilla with CheesePlace the first tortilla on the skillet. Spread the grated cheese all over the tortilla. Now place the second tortilla on top. Press down with a spatula, or be a daredevil and use your knockles. Be careful, Oh make sure you washed your hands.
-
Step 5
Cook until cheese is melted, about a minute and a half on each side. Remove from skillet and enjoy.
Be creative. You can add green chiles, hot sauce, or cooked chicken.
