How to make a Make A Lined Alligator Clip

Instructions
  1. Step 1
    Heat seal the ends
    Heat seal the ends

    Heat seal the ends of both pieces of ribbon. Lightly and evenly coat the backside of the ribbon with fabric glue.

  2. Step 2
    insert the glue coated ribbon
    insert the glue coated ribbon

    Open the alligator clip and insert the glue coated ribbon so it is sticking to the top of the inside of the alligator clip.

  3. Step 3
    Carefully wrap the ribbon
    Carefully wrap the ribbon

    Carefully wrap the ribbon around the top of the alligator clip making sure the edges of the ribbon are even and the glue is pressed together.

  4. Step 4
    Press the ribbon
    Press the ribbon

    Press the ribbon inside the hinge.

  5. Step 5

    Press the final small piece on the bottom of the alligator clip. You may want to brace the ends with additional alligator clips until the glue is dry.

  6. Step 6
    Coat the back
    Coat the back

    Coat the back of the small piece of velvet with fabric glue.

  7. Step 7
    place the velvet ribbon
    place the velvet ribbon

    Carefully place the velvet ribbon inside the top of the alligator clip.
