Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

For each can of beer or soda you buy, each six pack, each 12 pack, each case, etc. you are paying not only for the soda itself but also sales tax PLUS a REDEMPTION FEE! That adds up quick, BUT, you can get the redemption fee BACK if you just are willing to put an ounce of effort into doing this! READ ON!

  2. Step 2

First of all, don't throw away those cans; it's like throwing money in the trash! Simply empty them out and place them in a large plastic bag or a selected trash can to use for just this collection.

  3. Step 3

Now you need to find out where the nearest RECYCLING CENTER is to you! Use the Internet to do a search for this or simply call your local Public Works or City Hall, they will direct you. Usually (in CA) there is a RECYCLING CENTER near most major grocery stores, but your best bet is with commercial recyclers who are set up to weigh your cans not count them. (Because of course you are going to take many pounds of cans not just a handful!)

  4. Step 4

Aluminum cans are paying big money right now, that means you will get your Redemption money back and then some!
