How to RESTART iPod TOUCH WHEN IT FREEZES

Summary: Sometimes your iPod Touch may not respond, or freezes. This is not a serious matter. It may just be that the battery may need charging. In case it still doesn’t work, follow these simple steps to avoid chaotic measures.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Press and hold the HOME button bar for at least 6 seconds or until the application you opened quits or is completely closed.

  2. Step 2

    If it still doesn’t work, try turning your iPod off and on again. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of your iPod for a few seconds until a red slider appears. Drag the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears

  3. Step 3

    A reset will be needed if all previous attempts fail. Press and hold the SLEEP/AWAKE button at the same time with the HOME button for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
