Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Sit down, relax and breathe slowly. In the following, use two fingers on one hand to help close one or both nostrils.

  2. Step 2

    Breathe in through the left nostril while counting to 4.

  3. Step 3

    Hold the breath while counting to 16.

  4. Step 4

    Breathe out through the right nostril while counting to 8.

  5. Step 5

    Breathe in through the right nostril while counting to 4.

  6. Step 6

    Hold the breath while counting to 16.

  7. Step 7

    Breathe out through the left nostril while counting to 8.

  8. Step 8

    Repeat five to ten times.
