" Hi I’m Daniel Keeper owner and operator of Zoo Keeper Exotic Pets in Austin, Texas and on behalf of Expert Village.com; today we will be talking about some of the supplies you may need to support your exotic pet reptile mostly. Anyway some of the things you may need is an escape proof aquarium. Make sure it is escape proof especially for snakes because if there is a weak place to get out they will find it and generally the idea of getting a cheap top and putting some bricks or books on it, bad bad idea! Always get a good locking top. Some of the other things you may need is a sub straight which is a fancy word for the stuff that goes in the bottom. You need to decide if your animal is an arid, sort of a desert loving animal or if he is a tropical loving animal. This is one of my favorite products. It’s called forest bed and actually what this is it is a coconut fiber that has been ground up and compressed into a really hard brick. This believe it or not when you soak it in a gallon of water will expand 10 times this size and this little brick is enough to cover this aquarium on top believe it or not. It can be used moist or it can be used dry. I really like this. If the animal ingests it or eats it, it will pass through them without any problem at all. "
