" Hi I’m Daniel Keeper owner and operator of Zoo Keeper Exotic Pets in Austin, Texas and on behalf of Expert Village.com; today we will be talking about some exotic pets. This one in particular is a panther chameleon. They are native to Madagascar which is right off the coast of Africa and this particular guy has some interesting features as most people know that chameleon’s hunt and eat with their tongue. Chameleon’s need to use both of their eyes to triangulate on their diet and without both their eyes open, they won’t be able to hit their prey. Some chameleon’s tongues are 2 ½ times the length of their bodies so it is very impressive. The tongue remains coiled up underneath their throat right here and they shoot it out when they need to. There is a common misbelief that chameleon’s can change colors to match their background when in reality chameleon’s change their color usually on their mood. Sometimes with their lighting but usually their temperament. "
