"Now the milk snake is kind of a weird name to give a snake. Because number one they don't drink milk obviously, they're actually closely related to king snakes. In fact they are in the same genus Lambert Peltus. Know how milk snakes got its name because it was found in barns and what the farmers or the people who own the barns thought is that at night when they went to bed, these snakes would awake and actually steal milk from their cows. Now obviously that is a ridiculous thought of a snake drinking off of a cow's udder. Of course those snakes are in those barns not to drink the cow's milk but of course to prey on the mice and rats that are in those barns and actually those mice and rats are eating the cows food and these guys are eating the mice and rats. So in fact they are the farmers best friend. Now you can find milk snakes in a lot of different sizes and different colors throughout North and South America. Not all of them are coral snake mimicks and they come in a variety of different colors. "
