"Hi I’m Debbie McCanna on behalf of Expert Village.com. We are talking in this clip about corn snake care and maintenance. Specifically today, this segment is about how to acquire your corn snake. Due to the fact that corn snakes are native to North America you may be tempted to take one out of the wild either as a juvenile or as an adult such as the one I am handling here. However, wild specimens should never be considered as a pet. They are important to the ecology of the environment and necessary in that environment to help maintain rodent populations and a healthy breathing population of the snakes themselves. You can acquire a pet snake through the Internet with a reputable breeder or through many local reputable pet stores. If you are looking for specific color variation, you may want to research that first and find out where in your area or through an Internet site you could purchase one of the many beautiful color variations that corn snakes come in such as oranges, pinks, reds and even a moralistic in which they lack pigmentation but are not albino. The snake I am holding here is a typical red and brown pattern of the color variation. "
