Pizza itself is believed to have originated in Rome around the 3rd century BC. History mentions a very different type of pizza however than today's standard. This is described as a round dough topped with olive oil and herbs. Today we put almost anything on our pizza. Tomato sauce is a key ingredient that did not emerge until some time around the 16th century. In America pizza did not make an appearance until the late 19th century, brought over by Italian immigrants. An interesting fact; in Chicago at this time, pizza was introduced by a peddler who walked up and down the street selling pizza by the slice.

Today we are going to be talking about chicken Alfredo pizza; how to make your own at home. In this segment, we are going to talk about what you need to get started. If you take a look over here, we are going to need a spoon or a whisk for the Alfredo sauce, a knife for chopping up a few things, butter, flour, and heavy cream to make the sauce, as well as garlic for both the chicken and the sauce. We are going us a little extra virgin olive oil and a little bit of white wine just to top things off."
