"My name is Brandon Sarkis on behalf of Expert Village. Today I'll be making a quick and easy traditional Spanish Gazpacho. Okay, with regards to equipment today, you don't need whole lot. We just need a nice big cutting board. We'll be doing a lot of work on the cutting board. Of course to go with that, you're going to need a nice, good chef's knife. I've also got a stainless steel bowl here for our trash or for our pieces we're going to discard to use for vegetable stock or whatever we choose to do with it. A nice, handy clean towel. Maybe two if you are messy. I'm not feeling messy today, so we'll see how well I do. Also got a hand blender. You can also use a food processor for this. I prefer to use a hand blender because you have more control over how chunky you leave the soup or how much you puree it. I happen to like mine still with a little bit of chunk to it. If you put it in the food processor, it tends to turn it into more of a slushy kind of just really, really runny really liquidy thing. So I always use a hand blender. And then lastly, I've got a really, really big soup pot. And you're probably wondering why I have such a big soup container if I'm not cooking this. Because if I'm using the hand blender in something this deep, it's going to splatter the insides of this and not all over the counter top and not all over the stove and all over the wall and all over me. So I use a nice, deep soup container like or soup pot like this whenever I do something that I have to puree. Or even when I have to do you know like another soup, like a hot soup even. But since we're not cooking this at all, this isn't going to go over any heat. So with that, let's get started."
