"Hi this is Dave for Expert Village today were going to make some crock pot beef stew. Now were ready to make our spice mix for our beef stew in the crock pot. So it's all a matter of taste of how much each ingredient you like I like to unusually start off about a teaspoon of each ingredient that I have. To my onion powder I'm going to put about a teaspoon of that in then some cumin this is all about your taste whether you really like it. I really like it it's southwestern and it gives a great flavor to your beef stews so I wouldn't be to shy so a teaspoon of that in put that to the side. I have some garlic powder here I love garlic so this is would be a good way to do it I take the lid off of that and put a nice heaping teaspoon or so. In fact I'll add a little more to that and set that aside, then I got my thyme leafs I really love the flavor of thyme in this so were going to put about a teaspoon in there. That should about do it and then instead of using teaspoons were going to go ahead and grind some fresh ground pepper to you get to the amount that you want and again you can reseason your roast as we go. So I put that in there and grind some salt in it's kosher salt grind some in be careful with the amount of salt you put in because you can reseason later hard to take salt out once it's in. That would be a great mix for our roast."
