Cooking is all about variety, and although vegetables find themselves left off the list of most people ten favorite foods lists, veggies can add another dimension of taste to your meal. Knowing how to cook vegetables is the first step to adding them to your plate, and the ability to prepare vegetables in a number of ways is key to keeping them a regular part of your diet.

In this series of free video cooking lessons expert chef Chris Marconi demonstrates three easy methods for cooking vegetables: Steaming, sauteing, and grilling. He starts by showing you how to shop for vegetables, and what to look for when buying veggies at the store. He demonstrates how to steam broccoli, saute a mix of carrots and green beans, and finishes with a great recipe for grilled asparagus. These healthy foods will add vitamins and balance to your diet, as well as a variety of complex flavors.
