"For my next act, I want to teach you how to make a healthy alternative to an old favorite; pigs in a blanket. Now I like to use a healthier version of meat. This particular time, I'm going to use a turkey frank. You can use a kosher hot dog, you can use all beef, whatever you'd like. But I like a little bit healthier version. To those I'm going to have ready and waiting and defrosted a package of puff pastry. Many of your supermarkets have these. Or a specialty market if you don't have one in your neighborhood. They're very simple. They're precut and very easy to work with. Alright, make sure it's thawed out and ready to go. Standing by, I'm going to have an egg and a whisk. With which I'm going to create an egg wash, which is basically one egg and a little bit of water whisked together. With that you're going to use it to brush over the pastry to create a golden brown color while it bakes. And of course I need to have flour. Because on your cutting surface, you're going to need to have a little bit of adherence. Alright, a little bit there and you're going to put a little bit on your rolling pin. I have this really fun marble one. It's so heavy. But it's very fun. Alright. Going to put on your pastry and you're just going to give it a little bit of a roll. Just to kind of flatten it out and thin it out and make it easier to work with. Alright. When you come back, I'll show you the next step. Pigs in a blanket."
