Serving Vegetable Soup

"Now it's time to serve our soup. Here it is on the stove, let me turn it off. It's going to be piping hot because we have had it boiling and cooking forever and you can see the steam, huh, looks good, looks good. I've got my trusty ladle and I'm going to take a big spoonful of this. It is just incredibly beautiful hearty soup. Look at these beautiful vegetables with little bits of rice just like Grandma used to make. Gorgeous and I am going to take my sprigs of basil here and put that on top and that's going to add some wonderful flavor. Look at that, that is a gorgeous soup, perfect for a chilly winter evening or lunch after playing out in the snow or just any time you want something that has that nice hearty country flavor.
