"My name is Brandon Sarkis on behalf of Expert Village, today I'm making creamy broccoli soup. So now that we are going to do is I'm going to take this trust hand blender. I'm going to start pureeing up the broccoli. Except I don't want to catch the cord on fire so make sure you always hold the cord up and out of the way. So I'm going to stick this right in the middle. Just start from the top down, push all the way down. We are also going to reduce the heat. We do this so it does not start boiling and splattering all over me. Also be careful, I have a bunch of broccoli jammed up in here so I'm going to try to break some of that up really quick. So what we are doing here as we pureeing we want to make sure we go around and obviously get all the big chunks. What we are doing here is we are going to puree this down; we are going to reduce this by half. The reason that we are keeping the water in there that is where all the flavor is of the broccoli. This is going to help it thin in out a little bit. So we are going to reduce this by half and then we are going to add the cream. Actually right now we are going to add the onions too. I'm going to go ahead and take this off the heat. I would just take a second grab a towel so I would not burn myself. Safety first. Go ahead and take these onions and butter and just throw them right in there. Make sure you scrap all the way to the bottom of the pan cause that is where all the good taste is, the good flavor. Make sure you get everything out and there you go. Now we are going to let this reduce by half and when this is reduce by half we are going to add the heavy cream."
