"My name is Brandon Sarkis on behalf of Expert Village. Today I am making creamy Broccoli Soup. So what we are going to do now is take our broccoli, just flip it over and make some really short hacking motions at it just to kind of get it off the stem. You don't have to cut it microscopically tiny or anything because you are going to be cooking it down to puree again. That is obviously trash. The other thing that I want to point out is that I am taking some of these bigger pieces. I am going to cut them down and make them a little smaller just to make them fit in the pan a little easier. Just for uniformity sake. Also, I would never even consider for a moment using frozen broccoli to make this soup. Frozen broccoli is terrible terrible stuff and it is only reserved for culinary challenged I suppose. So we are going to finish this broccoli up here, get all these pieces cut off and the next thing we are going to do is my water should be getting pretty near being done so we are going to take this broccoli and cook it in the water for about 10 to 15 minutes total. Then we are going to just puree it down and reduce it. This broccoli doesn't have to be pretty because all that is going to happen is it is going to get all chopped up and turn into soup. I am just about done here and that is pretty much that right there. "
