"My name is Brandon Sarkis and on behalf of Expert Village I am here today to show you how to make creamy tomato basil soup. Alright what we are going to do with the onion is slice the top end off which gives us an edge to grab hold of. Make sure that you get all of the paper off. You are going to peel it back. Make sure you get a piece like that that sticks. As a nice tip use a refrigerated onion and it won't hurt your eyes nearly as much. Also sweet onions don't hurt as much. Also onions that are grown during hot months tend to hurt more. I am just going to do some simple cuts, some vertical cuts like this and more vertical cuts going across in a nice easy dice. There you go. There's that half. Now the other half. All we have left is that nice little core piece there and it is just starting to burn my eyes. Let's get into something else and get it out of my sight. The next thing we are going to do is we are going to start cooking our soup."
