Add Turkey Meat to Leftover Thanksgiving Turkey Soup

"My name is Brandon Sarkis, on behalf of Expert Village. Today, I'm going to show you how to make turkey soup out of turkeys that are left over after the holidays are done. Here we are with our soup. We're going to take the turkey we had earlier (the extra stuff we had, like the cutting board scrapings and the small pieces) and we're going to add that in. We're going to try to break it up a little bit, stir it around to make sure it doesn't stay all clumped together. When you're doing this you want to make sure those carcasses stay submerged, otherwise they're only going to do half their job. Let's shake off the spatula here. Let's go ahead and add a little more salt. I'll just go ahead and add the rest of it here. What we're going to do now is to let this go for a long time. Depending on how much soup you're making, you're going to let this cook for anywhere between two to four hours. Let's put the lid on it. It's also at this point that you want to turn the heat down to about a five or a six, something in the medium range, so you don't boil all the water out. I'm going to set my timer for two hours. That will be about right for this small amount of soup. I'll keep my lid on, and I'll come back to check on it in a couple of hours. I also want to keep my eye on it while it's cooking. I've set my timer for two hours, and I guess I'll see you in two hours. I'll come back and check on our soup at that point. Pretty much all the meat should have fallen off the carcass at that point, and that's the next step we're going to engage in."
