"Hi on behalf of Expert Village my name is Andrea Spano and I'm going to show you a couple of soups today from my new book Not Just Desserts. So during the break I add 8 cups of broth to a pot on the stove okay so I'm getting ready to prepare my potatoes and onions so I can put it in the broth and now I'm going to we just going to quarter the onion. Cause remember it does not matter if it is in big chunks because we are going to puree it anyways when it gets softened so here we can put it I'm going to add this in to the into the pot right now and then I will show you how I cut the potatoes. Pretty much the same way lengthwise and I try to make sure that it is in even pieces you don't want a big potato and a small piece of potato cause they would cook in different rates and you then you would wind up with a smaller pieces softened before the larger pieces are soften. Alright so this is the way you prepare your potato for the soup. Then we are going to put the potatoes into the chicken broth. "
