"Hi, I'm Amanda with Expert Village in this clip I'm going to be juicing the lemon. It's important when juicing a lemon that it's a nice bright color, it doesn't have any green spots on it. You want to make sure that the lemon as well has a nice citrusy smell, this lemon smells delicious. We'll go ahead and choose a lemon but starting before by just rolling the lemon to work up some of the juice on the inside. Then cutting the lemon lengthwise as well, so you have more of the flesh to juice. The lemon here has some seeds in them and I'll take the seeds out I'm just going to juice this whole half of the lemon that I will be using two tablespoons of the lemon juice. Lemon juice is initially a cooling property but internally the lemon juice has a warming effect and it helps digestion. So in the winter time it is cool and dry outside it's so wonderful thing to add to your food."
