Step 1
Before you can successfully kickflip, you'll need to learn how to Ollie. An Ollie is essentially a way to pop the board off of the ground. The way you do that is by popping with your back foot, jumping in the air, and sliding your front foot up towards the nose of the board.

Step 2
Next, we will learn the kickflip. Now that we know how to ollie, we can incorporate a quick flip in the board. First, ollie as usual, second, as you slide your foot up, instead of slowly sliding it up, quickly flick it towards the front bolts of your board. This will cause the board to flipquickly in the air.

Step 3
The last, and most important step is to land on the board. There are eight bolts, or screws on your skateboard. That is the target area in which you should land. Bending your knees, and jumping a little higher, (to compensate for the time it takes to flip the board) Should help you spot your landing before you reach the ground.
