"I'm Tish Cooper and I'm Amanda Persico for ExpertVillage.com at Joseph Filippi Winery, we're going to talk today about some wine selections. It is definitely true, proven time and again, that different glassware makes a huge difference in the aromas, the flavors, of the wine. A lot of effort has gone in to designing, engineering this glassware. It volatilizes at different levels so they're cut to different heights. They have different shapes to the bowls. This, can you see the curvature here at the top of the glass, is an Oregon Pinot glass versus a French Pinot, called a Burgundy, but this is an Oregon one because it accentuates the fruit. If you put a Bordeaux in a Burgundy glass it tastes like Burgundy. If you put a Burgundy in a Bordeaux glass it tastes like Bordeaux. You need to, if you're going to be spending enough money on the wine, consider fifty dollars a bottle, is not an outrageous price for wine anymore. It's a pretty typical bottle of wine. These glasses are less than twenty dollars a piece, if you have the opportunity to taste them in a panel it would blow you away. I say, make the investment, it's a minor investment for twenty dollars a glass. Just set up one for you and your spouse or your significant other, just have a few for those really nice bottles of wine."
