"I'm Tish Cooper and I'm Amanda Persico for expertvillage.com at Joseph Filippi Winery we're going to talk today about some wine selections. A neophyte is a newby basically. You have to have been drinking wine for a while. You see wine, what's the word, a learned palate, you get aclemated to wines. Merlot and Cab are pretty simple, they can be one dimensional, so they are easy for people to be comfortable with, they know how to say it, they've had enough of them that they can make an opinion. The Chardonnay's are equally typically a little bit sweet, they've got some fruit, there's just, they don't have to think about it, and that's not a bad thing. I don't know about you but when I get home from work I am spent and I don't want to sit there and analyze a glass of wine, I just want to enjoy it."
