How to afford a day at Atlantis Hotel Paradise Island

Tips & Warnings:

Bring plenty of sun screen and a camera
Find THE DIG entrance at the lower level of the hotel (below the open dining between the towers.
The pools open at 9a.m.; the slides and the lazy river open at 10a.m.
Be prepared to do lots of walking.... it is a huge park!
The lazy river is great, but be sure you don't have hat, glasses or jewelry on; it gets pretty rough, and the typhoon portion may just flip you out of your seat!
Atlantis towels must stay on their property; you cannot take them back to Comfort Suites!

Step1

Atlantis Resort Whether planning a trip to Nassau only, or stopping there on a cruise ship, I've found the affordable answer to getting into The Atlantis Hotel & Resort. This is an "all day" event, as there is so much to do there, and you will have access to all of it.

Step2

Comfort Suites Paradise Island Since the cost of a "day pass" at Atlantis is exhorbitant ($280 for a family of 4), contact the Comfort Suites Paradise Island (242-363-3680)or online at www.comfortsuites.com. Get a room for one night ($89 off season!) Because they are adjacent to Atlantis, and are owned by the same folks, you will get a card for full access to Atlantis.

Be sure to request Early Check-in and you can store your day bags there until your room is ready, or you can just take your beach bags directly to Atlantis. Walk out the back of the Comfort Suites, across the street to the Atlantis....Go to the Towel Kiosks (all over the water park) and get your wristbands and a towel there by showing your Comfort Suites card! That's it! Later in the day,when your room is ready, you can take a break and clean up or rest for en evening out.

You will want to get off the ship early, and either take a cab or the ferry, which leaves about every 20 mintues (walking distance from the cruiseships).
