"Hi. I'm Allen and welcome to Expert Village. Today I'm going to show you how to build your very own personal computer. So just real quick I'm going to talk about the component; well no. Just real quick I'm going to talk about some of the components and some of the wires and connectors and things like that that usually come with the system that you may encounter just so you know what's what. Now when you get the motherboards and the case; when you actually, when you get the case, they usually have these already on the back of it which is just like where everything goes and it's just like a standard set up. Now a lot of the motherboards actually come with their own so you know to make sure that everything lines up perfectly. And they're really easy. Some of them are a little bit thicker than others but for the most part, just look at it real quick and it will pop out of the case and the new one will pop back in. Easy, easy way to do everything. And then you got just the basic screws and things like that that we had discussed before. And then you have your wires and components which is a central part to making everything get power and everything correctly. This is just your normal power plugs which just looks like this and then this is another connector which actually goes to the motherboard, I believe it is, to go to like a fan or one of those type of supplies. And then you also have this cable which is your Serial ATA Cable. And as I mentioned in previous bits, just be careful because it is very thin and it is likely to break but it will make a very, very nice looking system inside. So instead of a big cluttered cable which would be something like this one which is the IDE cable. And you have a couple components because you can do, I believe, two components on each IDE port. So you have something like this and it's a little bit wider obviously than the SATA cable. But your connector is just like that and you really can't screw it up which way it goes because No. 1, you have the red line which will line it with another red line which is usually on the board or pin 1. And there's usually an arrow where the red line goes. But also, you have a little groove which will help you determine where everything goes. So, you know stick by that, you'll be okay. We have in this bag here is the floppy connector which pretty much looks the same as the IDE cable but just a little bit smaller. I'll take that out of the bag for you real quick and you'll see it's a little bit of the same thing. And you'll see where that goes on the board if you choose to use a floppy drive. The other cable is the ones that come off the power supply here and you have, obviously, the normal power connector cable that I showed you before which is like a wide cable. And then you have the other cables that go to your hard; your; go to the motherboard. And depending on the type of motherboard, you'll have the big, big cable which is like the ATX. That's the main power to the motherboard and that can pretty much only go in one way. You'll see like a little clip on the motherboard. And pretty much where that clip is that's where it goes in and actually clips on that because you have a clip on that side. So those are your basic cables and components. And then, of course, you have your external cables and things like that which would include like your USB or your FireWire cables; things like that. But those are very easy to determine and most of these things; actually all of these things; they look; some might look a little bit similar but they're all different the way they connect. And pretty much you're going to know what goes where. You really, really can't screw stuff up. And if you do, i don't know how you did it."
