"DARREN STORR: Hi. My name is Darren Storr, and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to run 200 meters. Another stretching exercise is we call this acrobatic or gymnastic stretch. One knee, you find a high beam whether it's a hurdle or steeplechase. Knees up, hamstrings up and this is to stretch your glucose muscles, which means your hip muscles. And also you want to be able to avoid lactic acid in the 200 meters, so it just also helps loosen the muscles in the butt area for lactic acid. That's one of them. Another one we also do is heel-to-chest motion whereas find a hurdle, find a steeplechase beam, whatever. Heel is going into your chest, just like this. Get on your toes, stay on your toes, and you want to have, like I say, a 180-degree angle, but you slightly lean over. And this helps, like I say, stretch the glutes, your hip muscles, and it helps your calf muscles to avoid lactic acid. And these are one of the good--this is of the better stretches 200-meter run is used, so you want to stretch the muscle."
