"DARREN STORR: Hi. My name is Darren Storr, and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to run 200 meters, 200-meter event. One of the first things, let's see, the 200-meters is almost like the 100 meters, same adjustments but it's just 100 meters longer. One thing you always want to do, like I say, find a comfortable position from your blocks in 200 meters. Relax, get into the blocks. So, this is a 200-meter turn so you want to slingshot yourself into the turn, at the same time, you slingshot yourself into a turn, slightly turn into it. About 140 meters doing that, you want to maintain, that's when you start to build your top speed, that's when you start to maintain off the curve into the straight. One of the good things about the 200 meters, it is a fast event. It's a long event but it's a faster event than a 100-meter. So, it gives you a lot more time to concentrate, to think a little quicker and faster on how you're going to run it. Like I say, 150 meters into the race, you want to relax, maintain and run efficiently. This is also a power race, so it's pure power and speed. You want to maintain flexibility, coordination with muscle motion, leg motion, 90-degree angles. Arms should be in good length."
