"DARREN STORR: Hi. My name is Darren Storr. On behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to run a 4 x 400 relay. Okay, like I said earlier, this is the last event of the day for most colleges, international meets, so it's a team event. It's mainly for sometime for team points for universities. For internationally, it's more for medals, things of that nature. So you have four individual runners who are depending on you, just like the 4 x 100, but the difference is you're running a longer sprint and it's more exciting. Me, personally, 4 x 400 is a lot more exciting so that's one of the differences in 4 x 100 and the 4 x 400. The comparison of race, the sprints, 4 x 400 is a longer distance and it's a little more exciting to watch. It takes a lot longer than a 4 x 100. One of the things I also have to mention too, is make sure getting the baton around the tracks safely and efficiently and hand it within those exchange zones, 20 meters, within 10 meters before and 10 meters after."
