"DARREN STORR: Hi. My name is Darren Storr. On behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to run the 4 x 400 relay. Also, the world record right now is held by United States, 254.20, which is one of the best, if not the best relay teams in the world. Also, one of the important things you must remember in running the relay is the exchange zones. You must hand them when in those 20 meters before and after--comparison as 100 meters. The 4 x 100, like I said earlier, is a sprint event so the object is to get around as quickly as possible, and the 4 x 400 is a long event. It's a long sprint event. So by saying that, you can safely hand your baton around without dropping it or misusing it or stepping out of the exchange zones. This is more of a comparison, the difference between a fast sprint and a long sprint. Stick."
