"Hi I'm Billy Kidd. And I'm here on Expert Village to talk about the 3-3 defense. 3-3 defense, again...bottom line, it's a defensive front that's there, an alignment that's there to help stop the spread offense, mainly the passing game. It's going to happen two ways: either put extra people in coverage, or bringing blitzes in different combinations to get pressure on the quarterback. It gives you some struggle sometimes when a good team has spread the field and then want to run the ball because you don't have quite the same kind of personnel to take on the running game and manage the line of scrimmage without giving up big plays either by the run or by the screen pass. 3-3 defense."
