As well as the running plays, another form of a running play is a screen pass. A screen pass most of the time, or half of the time, is to your running back, sometimes its outside to a receiver. With this type of front here you'd want to run a screen pass with your running back. And basically all you're trying to do with him is get your quarterback to pass him up; get your back up into the line of scrimmage here; let these guys work some zone combinations here to block these guys; get the ball quick to this one. And again, it's a running play that gives the simulation of a pass. We're just getting it real quick in here on the screen, letting these backers drop a little bit to give us some room to work with, and all of a sudden you drop the ball to this guy, you've got blockers up in these defensive guys faces. And again, you're trying to hit them quick with a play that's theoretically a pass, but it's inside the tackles and it's considered a screen pass because we've thrown it, but it's no different than a run.
