The complexity of the defense and one of the big reasons it was created is because with these stacked positions right here. Defensive lineman, linebacker right behind him, defensive lineman, linebacker behind him, defensive lineman, linebacker behind him, they can theoretically come with what we call the blitz and the blitz is where there going to bring linebackers or defensive backs from many points of the field to try to time it where they're hitting the line of scrimmage when the ball is snapped to put extra rush on the quarterback and in this front line here, this 3-3 front, you can do all kinds of combinations. You can take your defensive end and put him outside to contain. You could take this stacked linebacker and run him inside. You could take your nose tackle or defensive lineman over the center and run him to the right of the center. Bring his stack backer to the left of the center. You can take your defensive end that's on the left side and you could make him contain and run this stack backer inside with him. Now you can see what they've created here. They've filled every gap. A gap is the space between a man and his partner next to him.
