Pressuring the Quarterback in Dime Defense

"Hi I'm Billy Kidd here at Expert Village and we're going to talk about the dime defense. One thing that can hurt you on this, like we've already mentioned, if you can't get rush on the quarterback, you're going to have five receivers running; someone's going to come open. It's just a fact. You do not, there's never going to be enough, your defensive backs are never going to be skilled enough to cover these receivers one on one all day long. That can't happen. They've got to get rush to the quarterback, so that the ball can come out of there before the quarterback wants it too, or we've got to get a sack on the quarterback. So one negative to the nickel is that you've got to get pressure on the quarterback."
