"Hi, I'm Billy Kidd, here with Expert Village and we are going talk about the dime defense. We are going to talk about the dime defense. The dime defense is a term associated with the defense of secondary. The dime defense is a defense you're gonna play because you are sure the offense is going to throw the football. The offense, one first indication might be that they only have the five offensive linemen. And then their gonna have their four wide receivers. Now these four wide receivers can be in any combination. Got your quarterback, and you also got your running back. Now that running back may end being a fifth wide receiver. They take running back out of the game, then they add another wide receiver. So what you have is any empty back field. Which means there is no threat to run the football, unless the quarter back is going to run it, you don't have a back back here. But you do have five receivers which is the biggest threat the offense is going to have. And you have to defend those guys."
